A drunk man injured his friends and dogs after driving under the influence of alcohol and crashing into a rehab center, according to police in Oregon.

Roseburg police said that they have arrested 23-year-old Christian James Powell, after slamming his car into vehicles and the alcohol and drug rehab center.

Powell has been charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, failure to perform the duties of a driver, assault, interfering with a peace officer, reckless driving, reckless endangerment, animal abandonment and driving uninsured.

He was booked into the Douglas County Jail, and his bail has been set at $125,000.

According to the police investigation, the incident unfolded on Monday night. Powell was driving a Ford Ranger pickup truck while being under the influence of alcohol.

His friends and two dogs were in the vehicle.

While Powell was traveling on Northeast Diamond Lake Boulevard, he crossed the center median and into oncoming traffic.

The truck then veered off the road, and hit several vehicles parked in the lot of The Crossroads, which is a drug and alcohol addiction clinic.

One passenger passed out as a result of the crash and the two dogs suffered serious injuries. Police officers who arrived at the scene, used a Taser to arrest Powell.

He was taken to the Mercy Medical Center for treatment. A blood test showed that Powell has a blood alcohol content level that was four times the legal limit.
