(Scroll down for video) Employees of a grocery store were shocked to see a man walking and holding a human head in his hand, according to police in Oregon.

The Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office said that they have arrested Joshua Lee Webb, 36, of Colton, after being accused of killing his mother and assaulting an employee of the grocery store.

Webb has been charged with murder and attempted murder.

He was booked into the Clackamas County Jail, pending a bail hearing. The suspect’s mother has been identified as Tina Marie Webb, 59.

She and the suspect both lived at a home on Elwood Road. The Sandy Police Department responded to the Estacada Harvest Market Thriftway at about 2:15 p.m.

The initial reports provided to dispatchers was that Joshua was armed with a knife and ran into the store carrying a severed human head.

As the call progressed, additional callers stated that Joshua had stabbed a store employee. The stabbed employee along with other store workers disarmed Joshua, and subdued him to await the arrival of the police.

The first officers on scene from the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office and the Sandy Police Department, found Joshua subdued in a rear area of the store.

The injured store employee, 66-year-old Estacada resident Michael Wagner, was treated on scene by Estacada Fire Department and American Medical Response paramedics before being transported to the hospital.

As the incident response progressed, the many responding officers determined that the severed human head belonged to Joshua’s mother from an incident on Elwood Road.

Michael Wagner, the stabbing victim, is recovering at the hospital. Earlier in the day, Joshua killed his mother and the family dog.

He then cut off his mother’s head and walked into the nearby grocery store.
