(Scroll down for video) A distraught man killed himself while recording a Facebook Live video, according to police in Tennessee.
33-year-old Jared McLemore of Memphis, was distraught about the break up with girlfriend, Alyssa Moore.
The Memphis Police Department said that they believe the incident was a suicide. McLemore was a musician, and when his former girlfriend took out an order of protection, he became distraught.
On Friday night around 11:30 p.m., McLemore went on Facebook Live, and recorded himself pouring gasoline on his body.
He then set himself on fire and ran into the Murphy’s Bar, where his former girlfriend worked. An employee at the bar knocked out a cigarette lighter from McLemore’s hands and extinguished the flames.
McLemore was taken to the Regional Medical Center, where he died of his injuries.
Investigators believe that McLemore ran into the bar because he thought this would be the ultimate revenge against his former girlfriend.
Moore said that McLemore had a history of domestic violence.
She took out a restraining order after he threatened to kill her.
