(Scroll down for video) An elderly woman was shocked to find a body in the trunk of her car.
The woman of Lowell, Massachusetts, was at a doctor’s appointment, and when she came out, she found that the trunk of her car was opened.
As she went to investigate, the elderly woman found the body of a man inside her trunk.
Police were called to the scene, and three armed police officers approached the vehicle, which was in the parking lot of an office complex.
They determined that the man in the truck was 51-year-old Ross Elliot, a wanted murderer who was on the run from police.
Police believe that Elliot broke into the trunk of the woman’s car, which was parked inside her garage at her home, hours before his body was discovered.
Police determined that Elliot died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Police have launched a manhunt for Elliot two days before he was found dead in the trunk.
Elliot was wanted for fatally shooting his former girlfriend, 44-year-old Nicole Gamache, outside of her home in front of her daughter.
