A house maid was horrified to find a hidden camera installed in her bathroom, which she thought was for her private use only, according to police in Singapore.

Newton police said that they have arrested 52-year-old Paul Kwan from Canada, after being accused of recording his 28-year-old employee using the toilet and shower.

In court, Kwan pleaded guilty to two counts of insulting modesty. Kwan has been sentenced to serve 12 weeks in prison as part of his plea bargain agreement with prosecutors.

According to the criminal complaint, Kwan bought the tiny camera in Canada, and brought to Singapore with him. After hiring the 28-year-old woman to help him with house work, he installed the camera in her private bathroom.

He hid the camera in a toilet brush and pointed it toward the toilet bowl and shower. During the day, Kwan activated the camera.

When the woman went to sleep, Kwan removed the camera and uploaded the footage to his computer. One day, when the woman was cleaning her toilet, she found the hidden camera.

She brought the camera to her employment agency, and they called the police. Kwan has since been fired from his job as a financial advisor.
