(Scroll down for video) A special education teacher lost her job after being accused of intentionally biting a young girl with special needs, according to police in Texas.

The Austin Police Department said that they have arrested 35-year-old Courtney Williams, after being accused of biting the 9-year-old daughter of Librada Henry.

Williams has been charged with injury to a child. The Cook Elementary School placed Williams on administrative leave. She then resigned from her job.

According to the criminal complaint, the 9-year old student with special needs was being disruptive in class until Williams ordered her to leave.

When the child refused, Williams used her body weight to forcefully remove the girl. Once outside of the classroom, Williams grabbed the child’s arm and bit her.

The child then began to scream: “You bit me, you bit me.”

Witnesses noticed a bite mark on the child. During questioning, Williams claimed that the girl punched her in the face, and in response, she may have bit her arm.

Williams claimed that the child caused her a bloody lip and nose, but the teacher had no visible injuries and nobody saw the child punching the suspect.

A Child Abuse Resource and Education (CARE) Team determined that the bite was intentional.
