A drunk woman tried to stab her brother after he criticized her for sticking her fingers into his food, according to police in Texas.

Round Rock police said that they have arrested 55-year-old Cheryl Lenihan, after being accused of picking up a knife and swinging it in the face of her brother.

Lenihan has been charged with one count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. If convicted, Lenihan could face up to 20 years in prison.

According to the police investigation, the incident unfolded on Wednesday, at a home located in the 2400 block of Lasso Drive.

Lenihan was extremely intoxicated when she began sticking her fingers into her brother’s burritos. When her brother told her to stop because her fingers were dirty, Lenihan became angry.

She grabbed a knife and held it over the head of her brother.

She then swung the knife in his face several times in an attempt to stab him. Lenihan’s brother managed to push her way.

Lenihan fell to the ground and dropped the knife. The victim grabbed the knife and placed it in a paper bag. When police arrived at the scene, the victim gave them the paper bag containing the knife.

Lenihan told police that nothing happened and her brother had no reason to call the police.

Another brother living in the house told police that he heard Lenihan and the victim arguing about sticking her fingers into his food.

Police also noticed that Lenihan was extremely intoxicated.
