(Scroll down for video) A man who was wearing nothing but underwear has been shot and killed and breaking into a home in middle of the night, according to police in Texas.

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office said that deputies responded to the scene of a shooting on Tuesday around 2:00 a.m., in the 19200 block of Juergen Road.

They found the suspect dead in a bedroom of a pastor’s home.

He was wearing nothing but underwear. Police described the suspect as a black man who was either in his 20’s or 30’s.

According to the police investigation, the suspect, who was not identified, kicked in the door of the home, waking up the sleeping family.

The suspect first encountered Pastor Lorenzo Martinez and his wife, Gloria Martinez. The suspect assaulted the pastor and then punched his wife in the nose until it broke.

Naarai Olvera, the daughter of the pastor, told police that the suspect then moved on to attack her brother, his wife and three children, who were sleeping in a bedroom.

Olvera’s brother-in-law grabbed a gun and shot the intruder. He died at the scene. The family believes that the suspect was on drugs at the time of the attack.

So far, no charges have been filed.
