Police chief shoots and kills man who jumped into his patrol car

(Scroll down for video) Parents are demanding answers as to why their son was shot dead while he was sitting inside a patrol car.

The family said that they were not notified of the police involved shooting until 6 hours after he was killed.

Police in Louisiana, were called to a home West DeSoto Avenue at South Armour Street in Converse, for a disturbance.

When Converse Police Chief Keith Manshack arrived at 2:00 a.m., he was confronted by 24-year-old DeRicco Devante Holden.

The Sabine Parish Sheriff’s Department said that the Manshack and Holden got into an altercation, but they did not yet release the details of the fight.

During the altercation, Holden managed to get into the chief’s police cruiser. The officer then opened fired and killed Holden.

The Louisiana State Police took over the investigation. They did not release much details either, but they did say that the chief’s cruiser had three bullet holes in the back passenger window.
