Two men cut open stomach of dead smuggler to steal 32 drugs capsules

Workers at a morgue cut open the corpse of a smuggler in order to steal the drugs that remained in his stomach, according to police in Tanzania.

According to the police investigation, the smuggler of Ghana, swallowed 32 capsules of drugs and the entered the country.

However, the smuggler died as a result of a drug overdose inside a hotel room in Dar es Salaam. The body was deposited in a morgue, pending a police investigation.

Two workers at the morgue, who caught wind that the corpse is stuffed with drugs, decided to cut open the stomach and steal the capsules.

In total, the two workers removed 32 drug capsules.

They sold it to a businessman, who was not identified, and the drugs eventually made their way to Ally Nyundo, a known drug trafficker.

Police arrested the two morgue workers and the businessman on charges of drug trafficking and drug possession.
