A 7-Eleven convenience store was evacuated after a drug addict decided to warm up urine in a microwave, causing an explosion, according to police in Oregon.

Beaverton police said that the incident unfolded on Tuesday, at the 7-Eleven located at 4700 SW Murray Road.

According to the police investigation, the drug addict was on the way to get urine tested to ensure compliance with probation.

The drug addict decided to use a clean urine sample in order to pass the drug test. The suspect felt that the urine was too cold, so the sample was placed in the microwave of the 7-Eleven to warm it up.

However, the chemicals in the urine caused the microwave to explode. Police, fire and the Portland Police bomb squad were called to the scene.

Police evacuated the store out of an abundance of caution.

Investigators found a cup of urine in the exploded microwave.

Police believe that the drug addict probably did not pass the mandatory drug test.
