(Scroll down for video) A man was arrested after he was seen walking with his bike that had a coffin resting on it.

Police in Brazil, said that several people called them to report the man walking with a coffin that had a very bad smell.

Police officers in Prata, went looking for the man, and they found him strolling peacefully with his deceased brother’s coffin.

29-year-old Elderlandes Rosa told police he had a dream that his brother, Eri Erisberto Rosa, asked him to go take him for a ride like they used to do when he was alive.

Eri died more than a year ago at the age of 30. The two brothers were very close and according to family members, Elderlandes took the death very hard, and he was unable to come terms with the loss.

When officers tried to take the coffin, Elderlandes did not cooperate.

He was arrested on a charge of abuse of a corpse, which carries a maximum sentence of three years in jail.

During questioning, Elderlandes allegedly told police that he opened the casket to “have a chat” with his brother. The coffin has since been returned to the family and buried.

People are calling on prosecutors to drop the charges and give the man the psychological help that he really needs to deal with his brother’s passing.
