Woman steals flowers and items from cemetery to decorate her home

(Scroll down for video) A woman who wanted to decorate her home with flowers, decided to steal from cemeteries, according to police in Michigan.

The Genesee County Sheriff’s Office said that they have arrested 44-year-old Lisa Corcoran, after being accused of stealing flowers and other items from two cemeteries.

Corcoran has been charged with theft. She was booked into the Genesee County Jail, and her bail has been set at $5,000.

According to the police investigation, Corcoran stole flowers from graves at the West Vienna Cemetery and Woodlawn Cemetery.

Police were called and they launched an investigation into the thefts. In total, Corcoran stole 188 items, including flowers and a $500 bench.

Corcoran was caught after a witness saw her driving away from an apartment complex with a car full of stolen flowers. The witness wrote down the car’s plate numbers and called the police.

Police officers located the vehicle, in which they found Corcoran with stolen flowers and other items.
