(Scroll down for video) Two young children are lucky to be alive after a neighbor came to their rescue and saved them from being drowned in a bathtub, according to police in Oklahoma.

The Ada Police Department said that they have questioned Cash Freeman, after being accused of shooting and killing 27-year-old Leland Foster.

Freeman was released after questioning as police believe this to be a case of justifiable homicide. Freeman will still be questioned by the District Attorney, who will decide whether to pursue any charges.

According to the police investigation, on Friday, at around 12:30 p.m., Foster forced himself into a home the 1800 block of East 6th Street, where his two 3-month-old children lived with their mother.

He grabbed both children and took them into the bathroom.

Foster filled the bathtub with water, and then tried to drown them. Meanwhile, a 12-year-old child ran out of the home to call for help.

Freeman grabbed his gun and went into the bathroom, where he saw Foster holding his children underwater. Freeman shot Fister twice, killing him.

The children were taken to several hospitals, where they were treated and released. Freeman believes that he did the right thing by killing the murderous father.
