A doctor will spend the rest of his life behind bars for taking advantage of girls who trusted him.

The OB/GYN of Pennsylvania, will spend up to 95 years in prison after he was found guilty of drugging two teenage girls and sexually abusing them in a home office in Chambersburg.

60-year-old Dr. Sohael Raschid was arrested after four victims told police that they have been drugged by the doctor who slipped sedatives into their drinks.

A jury found him guilty of drugging and raping two teens who are 13 and 19 years old. His third victim, who was drugged, is a woman.

The 13-year-old girl told investigators that Raschid, who was also a family friend, picked her up from school and gave her a drink.

She felt hazy and was unable to resist, as the OB/GYN stripped her clothes and took photos as he was raping her. The girl told police that it was the first time she had sex.

The 19-year-old victim showed the jury a photo of her sister, who she said was delivered by Dr. Raschid. The victim told the court that she trusted the doctor as he saved her mother from dying in the delivery room.

Sadly, he betrayed that trust when he drugged and raped her.
In court, the teen said: “I hate that I will carry this burden for the rest of my life, I will never understand why you did this to me.”

More victims have since come forward and Raschid still has two cases against him pending.

The Pennsylvania Department of State has suspended the doctor’s medical license.

Franklin County Judge Jeremiah Zook told Raschid at sentencing: “You are not a rapist who happens to be a doctor. You were able to rape because you are a doctor.”

Raschid will also have to pay thousands of dollars in fines and restitution to the victims, and he cannot have contact with any of his victims.
