Emotional support dog of U.S. Marine bites face of Delta Air Lines passenger

(Scroll down for video) A Delta Air Lines passenger suffered serious injuries to his face when an emotional support animal bit him while the plane was preparing for take-off, according to police in Georgia.

According to the police investigation, the incident unfolded on Sunday, as the plane was preparing to take-off at the Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.

Marlin Termaine Jackson of Daphne, Alabama, was sitting in his seat when the emotional support animal belonging to U.S. Marine Ronald Kevin Mundy of Mills River, North Carolina, attacked him.

The Boeing 737-900ER Flight 1430 was headed to San Diego, California. The dog bit Jackson several times in the face.

Passengers said that Jackson’s face and shirt were covered in blood. Jackson was taken to the hospital, where he is said to be in stable condition.

He suffered severe injuries to the face due to multiple dog bites.

Police removed Mundy and the dog from the flight. The dog was taken into custody, but was later returned to Mundy. No charges have been filed.
