A tenant got the shock of his life when the landlord broke into his home and stole food from the kitchen.

The incident unfolded earlier this week, at a rental property in Douala, Cameroon.

Witnesses at the scene reported that the tenant had moved into the apartment about six months ago. The landlord is claiming that his tenant has not paid rent for the past six months.

Every time the landlord asked for rent payments, the tenant rejected him, saying that he had no money.

When the landlord threatened to the tenant with eviction, the man recited penal code, which restricts landlords from evicting tenants, and he threatened to call the police.

Earlier this week, the landlord decided that he had enough. The broke into the apartment, and stole a pot of chicken soup that was cooking on the stove in the kitchen.

The landlord vowed to steal more food until the tenant paid his rent.

The landlord said that he will not allow a man to prepare luxury food for his family while he was not getting rent for the apartment.
