73-year-old nursing home boss locks female employee in office and sexually assaults her

(Scroll down for video) An old man locked his female employee into a room, where he sexually assaulted her despite her protests, according to police in Florida.

The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office said that 73-year-old Enrique De La Piedra, who is the owner of the Osprey Assisted Living Facility located at 6775 40th Avenue North St. Petersburg, was arrested, following allegations of sexual assault.

The 44-year-old victim reported that De La Piedra, asked her to come into his office and speak with him. The victim entered the office to speak with De La Piedra, and he abruptly locked the office door behind her.

De La Piedra then hugged the victim, who immediately attempted to get away from him. He then sexually assaulted her.

The victim reported that she resisted De La Piedra’s unwanted sexual contact and told him “no” several times. The victim stated that she was able to escape from De La Piedra and exit the office.

Detectives said that the victim immediately reported the incident to other employees and deputies were later notified.

The victim was not physically injured in the incident. Through various investigative techniques, detectives were able to verify the victim’s account.

De La Piedra agreed to come to the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office Administration Building. The suspect admitted to locking the door in the office and having sexual contact with the victim.

He told detectives the sexual contact was consensual. De La Piedra was arrested for sexual battery and false imprisonment, and transported to the Pinellas County Jail.

His bail has been set at $15,000.
