Man named Trigger shoots himself while shopping at Dollar General

A man named “Trigger” shot himself in the foot while shopping at a store, according to police in Florida.

The Pasco County Sheriff’s Office said that they have arrested 35-year-old Jason Trigger, after being accused of possessing a firearm without a license.

Trigger has been charged with possessing a firearm as a felon and carrying a concealed firearm. He was booked into the Pasco County Jail, pending a bail hearing.

According to the police investigation, on Sunday, at around 3:30 p.m., Trigger walked into the Pasco County Dollar General store located at 11928 U.S. 19, where he picked up some boxes.

At some point, his gun fell down to the floor. The trigger of the gun moved and the weapon went off, firing a shot into his foot. Trigger stumbled out of the store and into a waiting car.

Trigger left his gun in the store. He was taken to the Bayonet Point Hospital, where he was treated and handed over to the custody of the police.
