Tokyo police said that they have arrested 50-year-old Junya Yamaguchi, after being accused of stealing pictures from at least 2,300 women.

Yamaguchi has been charged with numerous counts of violating the Unauthorized Computer Access Law.

According to the police investigation, Yamaguchi has been working for IBM Japan, for many years. About 6 years ago, Yamaguchi began accessing women’s Yahoo accounts and downloaded their private photos on his computer.

Police raided the suspect’s home and seized his electronic devices. Yamaguchi was in possession of 85,000 photos and 300 videos, all showing women in their 20’s and 30’s.

During questioning by police, Yamaguchi admitted to the allegations. Yamaguchi told police that he wanted to view the secrets of young women.

He managed to gain access to his victims’ Yahoo accounts by guessing their usernames and passwords. He then viewed their private photos and videos, and saved those he liked.

Police identified at least 2,300 victims.
