A man who wanted to stop a victim from testifying in court, tried to intimidate him by dumping mayonnaise on his head, according to police in Maine.

Livermore Falls police said that they have arrested 21-year-old Najee White, after being accused of assaulting a witness ahead of an upcoming trial.

White has been charged with witness tampering and simple assault. He was booked into the Androscoggin County Jail, and his bail has been set at $500.

If convicted, White faces up to 10 years in prison and a fine of up to $20,000.

According to the police investigation, the victim was scheduled to testify in court after being the victim of an unrelated assault.

White wanted to intimidate the victim in order to stop him from showing up at the trial so he dumped mayonnaise on his head and body.

The intimidation did not work, and the victim called the police.
