Father punches 17-year-old son because cheeseburger was not prepared properly

A father became angry when the cheeseburger that he ordered from his son was not prepared the way he liked, according to police in Guam.

Prosecutors told the Superior Court of Guam, that Jack Cepeda Smith, has had several violent outbursts towards members of his family this month.

Smith was charged with strangulation and family violence.

On Monday, Smith asked his 22-year-old son to prepare a cheeseburger. The 22-year-old son complied and handed his father a cheeseburger.

However, Smith became angry because the cheeseburger was not prepared the way he liked. Smith began screaming and berating his son.

Smith’s 17-year-old son confronted his father and asked him to stop yelling. In response, Smith punched his 17-year-old son in the face.

A brief struggle ensued before the two stopped fighting. On Friday, Smith, his wife and their 17-year-old son traveled in the family car.

Smith became angry and began screaming at his wife. The father then punched the seats of the car, striking his wife’s shoulder in the process.

When Smith’s 17-year-old son told his father to stop punching the seats of the car, he grabbed the boy’s neck. Smith squeezed on the boy’s neck, causing him to gasp for air.

The mother stopped the car and managed to pull her husband’s hands off her son. Smith then fled from the scene.
