A man his blaming everyone but himself for injuries he sustained after jumping out of a moving ambulance, according to court documents in New York.

54-year-old Yaugeni Kralkin of Staten Island, fell unconscious after jumping out of the moving ambulance, which was transporting him to a hospital because he was severely intoxicated.

He is now suing the fire department, 4 emergency medical technicians (EMTs) and the City of New York, claiming that the first responders did not do enough to stop him from jumping out of the ambulance.

Kralkin told the court that he spent the night drinking alcoholic beverages and smoking because of family issues. At around 1:00 a.m., he was found unresponsive in the street.

An ambulance was called to transport him to the hospital, but Kralkin wanted to go home. While being transported, Kralkin removed the straps by himself and jumped out of the moving ambulance.

As a result of falling to the ground, Kralkin suffered multiple facial fractures and bleeding on the brain. Kralkin is demanding an unspecified amount for damages.
