(Scroll down for video) A young girl in China, is stealing the hearts of people around the world.

2-year-old Xinlei Zhang was diagnosed with thalassemia, a blood disorder which causes the body to make an abnormal form of hemoglobin, at just two-months-old.

Her devastated parents did everything they could to give her the best medical care. However, they now ran out of money.

Liyong Zhang, who works as a farmer in Sichuan, and his wife Deng Min, spent $14,000 on her medical treatment. They used all of their money and they borrowed some more for the girl’s medical treatment.

They received donations from friends, family and strangers who were kind enough to help out.

The girl’s parents were told that blood from an umbilical cord could to save Xinlei’s life. In a desperate attempt to help their daughter, the couple conceived another child.

Sadly, they realized that they will not be able to afford the transplant as they have no money left.

“We have been driven into a corner. There is no other option,” Deng Min said.

The heartbroken parents decided to focus on preparing their toddler for her death, by taking her to play in her future grave.

“This is where she will rest in peace. All I can do is accompany her every day,” the father said.
