61-year-old woman chokes chihuahua to death for biting her on the hand

(Scroll down for video) A woman became frustrated when her dog bit her so she killed it.

The woman of Florida, has been arrested on charges of animal cruelty after she admitted to choking her pet chihuahua.

61-year-old Alice Evans is accused of strangling her 12-year-old chihuahua named Big John Evans, at her home in Marathon.

Evans went to Fishermen’s Community Hospital, after her dog bit her. There she told medical staff that she killed her dog after it bit her on the hand.

Police were called. Deputies and an officer from the SPCA went to Evans’ home, where she told officers that in recent months, the dog became more aggressive and that this incident was the third time the chihuahua bit her.

Evans had a small wound from the dog on her hand. The 61-year-old woman then told authorities that she choked the dog to death with its collar.

She then admitted that she buried Big John Evans in her backyard. Authorities dug up the body and took it to a veterinary hospital, where the cause of his death was given as strangulation.

Evans was arrested and is being held on $25,000 bond.
