(Scroll down for video) Police made a shocking discovery after saving a woman who jumped off a bridge, according to police in Missouri.

Kansas City police said that they have arrested 29-year-old Aushena Warren, after being accused of drowning her 8-year-old son, Audrick Warren.

Aushena was charged with one count abandonment of a corpse. She was booked into jail, and her bail has been set at $25,000.

According to the police investigation, Aushena wrote a note, stating that she was afraid the state would take away her child due to her bad financial situation.

She then forced Audrick into the bathtub, and hit his head three times. Aushena filled the bathtub with water and the boy drowned.

Aushena then left the home and went to the Bond Bridge. She jumped off the bridge into the Missouri River. Luckily, she was pulled from the river alive.

When Audrick’s father got to the home, he found his son dead in the bathtub and called the police. An autopsy showed that the cause of death was drowning.
