(Scroll down for video) Large coffee chains in the United Kingdom, were criticized in a shocking report that revealed fecal contamination in drinks and on store surfaces.

The Watchdog program by BBC, has revealed that it had tested ice drinks from Starbucks, Costa Coffee, and Caffe Nero, and found some of them to be contaminated with bacteria found in human feces.

In addition to the drinks, investigators have tested tables, trays, and high chairs at the three chain stores, and found some of them to be contaminated with human feces.

A spokesperson for Chartered Institute of Environmental Health, Tony Lewis, said that the levels of contaminants are very concerning as no amount of fecal bacteria should be found in food.

Starbucks, Costa Coffee, and Caffe Nero, all launched investigations following the report, and are looking for ways to prevent fecal contamination in iced drinks and around their stores.
