An elderly man became angry after police were called to his home on reports that he assaulted a woman, according to police in Ohio.

The Erie County Sheriff’s Office said that they have arrested 63-year-old Richard T. Wilson Sr., after being accused of using his prosthetic legs to beat his wife, Ronna Wilson.

Richard has been charged with one count of domestic violence.

He was booked into the Erie County Jail, pending a bail hearing.

According to the police investigation, a man called police to report that Richard had assaulted his mother. When police responded to Richard’s home to question him about the assault, he became agitated.

When police left, he began throwing things in the home, and used his prosthetic leg to beat his wife on the head. Richard then grabbed his other prosthetic leg and tried to beat his wife, but she blocked him with her arm.

Police officers who responded to the scene, noticed swelling on Ronna’s arm. Richard denied hitting his wife.
