Stolen street sweeper that was taken on joyride crashes into numerous parked vehicles

(Scroll down for video) Police are looking for the person who was behind the destruction caused by a street sweeper, after several car owners found their vehicles was significant damage, according to police in New Jersey.

Paterson police said that the incident unfolded early on Wednesday morning, as the driver of the street sweeper was changing garbage bags.

The owner of the street sweeper said that his employees was changing garbage bags in the parking lot of a Rite Aid at around 2:00 a.m., when someone hopped into the truck and sped off.

The suspect took the street sweeper on a joyride for about half a mile on Colonial Avenue, before crashing into several parked vehicles.

The suspect the fled from the scene, leaving behind a path of destruction. The owner of the street sweeper said that the truck was sent in for repairs and will be back on the streets soon.

No injuries have been reported. So far, no arrests have been made.
