(Scroll down for video) A business owner is in trouble after police found an alligator inside his smoke shop, according to police in Rhode Island.

The Richmond Police Department said that they have arrested 43-year-old Edward Hauser, after they found the alligator named “Gucci,” inside the “Pass the Glass” smoke shop.

He was charged with one count of possession of marijuana.

According to the criminal complaint, police learned that Hauser was selling marijuana inside his smoke shop. Police obtained a search warrant and raided his business.

When police went up to the second floor, the alligator lunched at them. It also made hissing sounds at them, and the officers were forced to step back.

Hauser never advised officers about the alligator. Officers later located about 4 ounces of marijuana on the second floor of the shop.

Police called the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management, and agents were sent in to seize the 5-foot-long alligator named Gucci.
