(Scroll down for video) Police were called to a home after a masked man was found dead in a yard.

Police in Florida, determine that 22-year-old Juston Ladonte Donson, was killed by a gunshot wound to the head in a gang related incident gone wrong.

Donson was still wearing a ski mask when he was found dead at the 6100 block of Rawson Lane.

The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office learned from the intended victim that the shooting occurred at 4:45 a.m., but he was too scared to leave his home.

Donson was discovered at 6:15 a.m., by the intended victim’s neighbor.

Investigators soon discovered that five people came to the home with the intent to shoot their victim.

As they were shooting in the direction of the intended target’s home, they accidentally shot Donson instead.

The suspects then fled from scene and left their accomplice to die.

In a press release, the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office said that Donson was killed by “friendly fire.” They also said that the shooting appeared to be gang-related, perhaps a retaliation of some sort.

The four gang members, Trevon Demarcus Lewis, 16, Tre’Shaun Rydell Ulmer, 19, Dywane William Woodrow, 20, and Demetric Jamartia Milhouse, 23, who were with Donson, were arrested.

They were charged with principal to murder because the death occurred during the commission of a felony.
