A bicyclist ended up behind bars after riding his bike while he was drunk and in possession of drugs, according to police in Canada.

Guelph police said that they have arrested the 35-year-old man, who was not identified, after being accused of recklessly riding his bicycle in middle of the night.

The cyclist has been hit with multiple charges, including drug possession, careless driving, riding a bike at night without a light and horn, and failing to identify himself.

According to the police investigation, on Monday, at around 2:30 a.m., police officers were sitting in their police cruiser on the side of the road.

Suddenly, they observed the cyclist swerving from one side of Waterloo Avenue to another. The cyclist then crashed into the police cruiser, breaking a tail light.

James Bending fell off the bicycle, but he was not injured.

Police searched the man who showed symptoms of being drunk, and he was found to be in possession of illegal drugs.
