(Scroll down for video) A mother was killed a few hours after she posted an inspiring message on Facebook, and weeks after posting that she bought life insurance.

33-year-old Makeva Jenkins, a mother of three children who are 13, 6, and 1 years old, was shot dead inside a home in Lake Worth, Florida.

Police said that a man wearing a ski mask broke into the house and shot her in the head in front of her children.

At 11:24 p.m., Jenkins wrote a post on Facebook about how she and her family went from being homeless for over two years to having a business and making a six figure income.

She wrote: “I’m in awe of how far I’ve come. We overcame being homeless in 2013/2014 to reaching my six figure mark in 2015, to now making multi six figures. No matter what the road looked like, I followed my heart and stuck with it, growing my business. I’m saying this to say, anyone can do it. It takes determination and consistency.”

At 2:00 a.m., the intruder came in and killed her. Her car was stolen, but it was found abandoned not far from her home.

Jenkins’ husband Euri, was reportedly at a stipclub at the time of the shooting.

One month ago, Jenkins, who worked as a business coach, wrote on Facebook that she bought life insurance for her family and she advised others to do the same.

“Cover your family with life insurance. Death is inevitable no matter how it comes.

“It’s affordable, but does it really matter the cost when it comes to making sure you have the proper insurance to cover funeral expenses when the time comes?

“Express to your loved ones the importance of having life insurance. Everyone in my house is covered because I know if a tragedy happened, I can’t just spit out $13K or more for a funeral.”

Sadly, her family will now use that money for her funeral.
