A cruel woman killed her roommate and then withdrew all the money from the victim’s bank account, according to police in Japan.

Osaka police said that they have arrested 31-year-old Terumi Morishima, after being accused of killing 25-year-old Sawako Watanabe.

Morishima was hit with multiple charges including murder.

The Osaka District Court sentenced Morishima to serve life in prison after being convicted of murder.

According to the police investigation, Morishima and Watanabe lived together in an apartment. One night, the two held a party in their home.

After the party, Morishima suffocated Watanabe. Morishima then cut up her roommate’s body, and kept the skull in her freezer.

Morishima then went to withdraw all available funds from Watanabe’s bank account. Watanabe’s parents filed a missing persons report after not hearing from their daughter for several days.

Police searched Watanabe’s apartment and found parts of her body. During questioning, Morishima told police that when she came home, she found Watanabe unconscious on the floor.

She panicked, and cut up her body. An autopsy revealed that Watanabe died from suffocation.
