2 men dressed as police officers break into house and handcuff homeowners in front of their children before stealing valuables

(Scroll down for video) Two men disguised themselves as police officers and broke into a home to commit an armed robbery, according to police in Florida.

The Robbery Bureau of the Miami-Dade Police Department, is investigating the home invasion that occurred in a residence located at 9800 S.W. 159 Street.

According to investigators, two men forced their way into the residence through the front door, handcuffed the homeowners and demanded money on Tuesday, at around 3:00 a.m.

They then forced the homeowners to open their safe, where they took an undetermined sum of cash and fled eastbound on S.W. 159 Street.

One of the men was wearing a police vest and a badge while the second robber was wearing a shirt with the word “Police” on both sleeves.

Both robbers were armed with handguns.

The two victims, along with their three children were unharmed during the incident.

One suspect was identified as 29-year-old Usmael Carvajal, while the other robber was not identified.

The victims were identified as 32-year-old Elizabeth Moore, 37-year-old Omar Alvarez and their three children.
