(Scroll down for video) A man viciously murdered his prison pen pal and her boyfriend despite the fact that they stood by him and picked him up following his release from jail, according to police in Ohio.

The Parma Heights Police Department said that they have arrested 42-year-old Thomas E. Knuff, after being accused of killing 50-year-old Regina Capobianco and 65-year-old John Mann.

Knuff has been charged with murder, and breaking and entering.

He was booked into jail, and his bail has been set at $50 million plus $10,000 by Municipal Court Judge Deanna O'Donnell.

According to the police investigation, while Knuff was serving time in prison, he exchanged letters with Capobianco.

After Knuff completed his sentence, Capobianco and Mann went to prison to pick him up and take him to his home.

Several days later, Capobianco’s sister filed a missing persons report. Police eventually questioned Knuff, and went to Capobianco’s home.

They broke down the door and found Capobianco and Mann dead. Their bodies were badly decomposed.

The medical examiner said that Capobianco and Mann died as a result of stab wounds. Police do not know why Knuff killed Capobianco and her boyfriend.
