Multiple female prisoners filed complaints after a guard sexually assaulted them inside the facility, according to police in the United Kingdom.

Suffolk police said that they have arrested 35-year-old Richie Hoy, after being accused of groping at least four women.

Hoy was brought before a judge at the Ipswich Crown Court, where he pleaded guilty to six counts of sexual assault.

Judge Martyn Levett sentenced Hoy to serve 32 weeks in prison. In addition to jail time, Hoy will have to register as a sex offender for 10 years.

According to the police investigation, Hoy was a prison guard at the HMP Warren Hill, for 10 months. After his marriage collapsed, Hoy began groping female inmates.

The court was told that Hoy wanted to reassure himself that women still found him attractive following the collapse of his marriage.

Hoy targeted female inmates when they were alone. He approached the from behind and grabbed their private parts, breasts or behinds.

One woman reported that she saw Hoy unzipping his pants, but after she said “no,” he left.

Hoy’s defense attorney told the court that he had been taking anxiety and depression medication at the time of the attacks.
