The winner of the season 6 America’s Got Talent show is making headlines again. This time, he is on the wrong side of the law.

42-year-old singer Landau Eugene Murphy Jr. of Logan County, West Virginia, was arrested for domestic violence after he allegedly attacked his baby’s mother with a golf club.

The woman was taken to a hospital with head and face injuries. She was treated for swelling and bruising.

Murphy, who has a six-month-old baby with the woman, allegedly beat her with a golf club and smashed her head into the concrete sidewalk.

Murphy denies the allegations that he hit the woman with the golf club.

He claims that while he acted in self-defense, the woman sustained some bruises and swelling.

Murphy told police that the woman and her family trashed his home and broke many of his belongings before she attacked him with a knife and golf club so he defended himself.

Murphy was charged with domestic battery and domestic assault. He was released after posting $3,500 bail.
