25-year-old mother allows 11-year-old daughter to drive home her 10-year-old brother in large SUV

(Scroll down for video) Police officers who pulled over a vehicle for speeding, were shocked to see a young girl at the wheel and a boy in the passenger seat, according to police in Texas.

Pasadena police sad that they have arrested 25-year-old Maria Dejesus Lopez, after being accused of allowing her 11-year-old daughter to drive a large SUV without any supervision.

Lopez has been charged with two counts of child endangerment.

According to the police investigation, when Lopez’s 10-year-old son wanted to come home, she allowed her 11-year-old daughter to take her Dodge Durango to pick up him up.

The girl drove the car to the boy’s location and picked up her brother. On their way home, the girl drove at a speed of 49 miles per hour in a 35 mile per hour zone.

Police officers noticed the speeding vehicle, and pulled it over.

Police took both kids back home. The girl told police that this was not the first time that she drove the vehicle. Luckily, no injuries were reported.
