(Scroll down for video) A man who got stuck inside an ATM, was rescued after slipping notes through the machine’s cash slot, according to police in Texas.

Corpus Christi Police said that officers had to break open the door of the ATM in order to rescue the repair person who attempted to fix the machine at a Bank of America location.

The incident began on Wednesday afternoon, as the repair person went into the ATM room. While he was inside, the door locked itself.

When the repair person tired to leave, he realized that he was stuck. Unfortunately, the man left his cell phone in his truck outside the bank.

In a desperate attempt to call for help, the man slipped through “help me” notes through the ATM’s cash slot.

The note read: “Please help. I’m stuck in here and I don’t have my phone. Please call my boss at 210-***-****.”

Most people who stopped at the machine to withdraw cash, thought the note was a joke and just ignored the man’s pleas.

However, after two hours, one person took it seriously and called the number.

The boss called police, who kicked in the door of the ATM and freed the repair person. He did not suffer any injuries.
