Man stabs his brother in the abdomen during fight over cereal and milk

(Scroll down for video) A man flew into a rage and stabbed his brother during an argument about cereal, according to police in Texas.

Southmayd police said that they have arrested 22-year-old Zachary Pomeroy, after being accused of stabbing his brother in the abdomen.

Pomeroy has been charged with one count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

According to the police investigation, the incident unfolded on Sunday, at a home on Aaron Lane.

Pomeroy was arguing with his 26-year-old brother, who was not identified, over a bowl of cereal and milk.

During the argument, Pomeroy pulled out a pocket knife and stabbed his brother in the abdomen. The victim was rushed to the hospital, where he underwent surgery.

The victim spent several days in the Intensive Care Unit. He is still recovering in the hospital, and is expected to survive.
