Man sets home on fire killing 22 restaurant workers who lived inside

(Scroll down for video) A man locked the door to a home and set it on fire, trapping many people inside.

Police in China, said that 22 people died after a massive fire broke out in a residential building in the Jiangsu province over the weekend.

Authorities have arrested a suspect who they said set the house on fire after locking the doors.

The fire broke out at around 4:30 a.m., on Sunday, in Changshu City, not far from Shanghai.

The two-storey building was occupied by 29 people all of whom worked at a restaurant. The majority of those who lived in the house were young migrant workers.

The investigators discovered traces of gasoline at the scene of the fire and found that all the doors of the building had been locked.

The suspect has only been identified as a man named Jiang. Police have not yet released a motive for the deadly incident.
