A Fashion retailer based in Ireland, has recalled million of flip flops after discovering that they contain a chemical that could cause cancer.

Primark of Dublin, which has thousands of retail stores across the globe, warned consumers not to wear flip flops produced under the Cedar Wood State brand.

Specifically, the company has said that the men’s khaki, black, and blue flip flops contain Chrysene, which is a chemical that could cause cancer.

The serial numbers of the recalled flip flops are 02387/01 through 09. Primark urged consumers to return the flip flops for a full refund.

The affected products were sold in all store locations for the past 6 months. Chrysene is used in dark colored dyes.

The dyes used in the affected flip flops contained high levels of Chrysene, which are not considered safe.

Primark has suspended all operations at the factory that produced the flip flops.
