64-year-old man stabs 20-year-old stranger because he was angry

Police in Japan, have arrested a man for stabbing another man without being provoked.

Police arrested the 64-year-old man on charges of attempted murder after stabbing another 20-year-old man on Sunday night.

The incident unfolded in the Asakusa area of Tokyo.

According to police, at around 9:20 p.m., the suspect, whose name has not been released, walked up to a man at the Tobu Asakusa station in Taito Ward, and began stabbing him in the stomach and other parts of his body.

Photos of the crime scene showed a lot blood on the floor.

The victim was rushed to a hospital, where he is being treated for non-life threatening injuries.

When he was questioned by police, the suspect said that he did not know the victim and that he chose him at random “because he was angry.”
