Man kills raccoon with hammer after it bit his head while he was fixing his car

(Scroll down for video) A man of Pennsylvania, was bitten by a raccoon while he was fixing his car, according to police.

Arnold police said that an officer was at the scene when 55-year-old Dan Waldenville, used a hammer to kill the raccoon that bit his head while he was fixing his car.

It all happened on Monday, at around 4:00 p.m. Waldenville was lying on the ground under his car, and was attempting to fix the exhaust of his vehicle.

He suddenly heard someone honking the horn of a car.

Waldenville looked up and saw a raccoon next to him. The raccoon quickly attacked him. The animal bit his forehead and walked away.

Waldenville said that he was concerned because the raccoon seemed to have been rabid and there were little kids playing nearby.

Waldenville grabbed a hammer and hit the raccoon three times.

The raccoon died at the scene. Police took the raccoon for testing. Meanwhile, Waldenville got eight shots against rabies and will get three more soon.
