(Scroll down for video) A landlord became very emotional when she learned that her tenant’s young children took their mother’s car for a joyride.

Sharlene Wiseman, who owns the Bronco Junction Apartments in West Virginia, where the boys lived, evicted the mother from her apartment after her sons endangered the other residents by taking her car on a joyride.

Wiseman knew all too well the pain of losing a loved one in a car accident. Wiseman said that she lost her son in a motorcycle accident 6 years ago, and she does not want any other parents to go through this.

According to police, the 5-year-old boy got into his mother’s silver Ford Focus, and took his 2-year-old brother for a ride.

They boys wanted to drive to their grandfather’s farm. They were headed in the right direction, and they navigated two turns and a complete right turn.

They drove for about three miles before crashing in a ditch. Putnam County Sheriff Steve Deweese said that they are trying to figure out how the children were able to drive the car.

According to their initial investigation, one child steered the vehicle while the other boy pushed the gas and brake pedals as they drove down a winding and curving road.

Sheriff Deweese said that deputies did not find the children’s mother until nearly an hour after the incident, and she had no idea that her children were missing.

According to Deweese, the mother thought that the boys were playing in the front yard. They were taken to a hospital for observation after the accident, but they were not hurt.

So far, no charges have been filed against the mother, but Deweese said authorities are working with the prosecutor’s office and Child Protective Services.
