(Scroll down for video) Police were called after an elderly woman stole a car from a taxi driver who had been kind and was helping her.

Police in Pennsylvania, arrested 65-year-old Betty Thomas, after she stole the cab around midnight on Thursday, and picked up a 23-year-old mother and her 10-month-old baby.

The incident began when Thomas asked the taxi driver to take her to the SugarHouse Casino in Philadelphia. On the way, she asked the driver to make a stop at a gas station.

The driver was seen on surveillance video holding her hand as Thomas walked to an ATM.

The two then walked back to the car and they got into an argument over the fee. During their dispute, Thomas got into the driver’s seat and drove off.

Police spotted the cab 30 minutes later and pulled her over. To their surprise, officers found that a customer and her baby were in the back seat while Thomas acted as if she was a taxi driver.

The mother told officers she had no idea that the taxi had been stolen.

Thomas was arrested on a number of charges related to the car theft.
