(Scroll down for video) Police in Virginia, are urging parents to talk to their children and find out if they had been sexually abused by a handyman they hired.

Fair Oaks Police detectives from the Major Crimes Division, Child Abuse Section, arrested 43-year-old Jerberth Adallir Palma of Springfield.

Palma is accused of sexually abusing three children between the ages of 4 and 11, while he was doing work in their homes.

He was charged with three counts of sodomy, one count of indecent liberties with a child and one count of aggravated sexual battery.

Detectives believe that there might be other victims. They want to hear from anyone who hired Palma to do work in their home while children were around and may have come into contact with the suspect.

Palma has been working as an independent contractor for about 7 years.

The incident came to light after a young girl told her father that Palma was sexually harassing her while doing work in their home. As soon as he finished his work and left, the father called police.

While conducting an investigation, police discovered that there were other victims, and he was arrested.
