Three members of an Islamic school are accused of raping students instead of teaching them about the Quran, according to police in Nigeria.

Lagos police said that they arrested 32-year-old Kamaledeen Alade and 27-year-old Hammed Adebayo, after being accused of gang raping two female students.

A third wanted suspect is still on the run. Alade and Adebayo were both charged with conspiracy, rape, and sexual penetration.

Judge Aro Lambo set bail at $634 each.

According to the police investigation, Alade opened and operated an Islamic school located on Amosun Street.

Alade was the principal of the school while Adebayo was his assistant. The third suspect, who was not identified, worked as a teacher.

On Tuesday, at around 10:00 a.m., the principal called the two victims, 14 and 16, into his office.

Instead of teaching them the Quran, the principal, his assistant and the teacher gang raped the two girls.

One of the girls told her parents about the attack, and they called the police.
