(Scroll down for video) A judge handed down rough justice to a drunk driver who does not seem to take her actions seriously.

52-year-old Marilyn Aguilera of Florida, was supposed to get a lenient sentence for causing a father life changing injuries, but that changed after she arrived in court late and she needed assistance walking as she had taken some medications.

Aguilera was arrested after running over a high school principal while she was driving drunk, leaving him an amputee.

After the accident in 2016, Aguilera failed sobriety tests and her blood alcohol content was triple the legal limit for driving.

Javier Perez, 44, was coaching his five-year-old son's little-league championship game in a West Miami-Dade baseball field when Aguilera hit him.

Perez was pinned by the vehicle, causing him to lose both of his legs.

Perez agreed to a plea deal that would put Aguilera in prison for just four years because he wanted to put the incident behind him and move on with his life.

However, on the day that Aguilera was supposed to plead guilty to three counts of DUI and accept the lenient plea deal, she showed up in court 4 hours late.

She then asked about being released early from prison.

Miami-Dade Circuit Judge Diane Ward told Aguilera to "act like an adult" after she did not seem to take the matter seriously. She complained about her old attorney and was rude to prosecutors in court.

Aguilera burst out crying when Ward rejected the plea deal and set a trial date.
